Consulting- Ayurvedic Medicine Consultation
Ayurveda, a traditional system of medicine originating in India, emphasizes the importance of balance and harmony within the body.
In my Ayurvedic therapy sessions I offer:
1. Initial Consultation: The session usually begins with a thorough consultation where I assesses the your health history, lifestyle, current imbalances, and specific concerns. This information helps to tailor the therapy session to the individual's needs.
2. Dosha Assessment: Ayurveda categorizes individuals into three dominant doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha). I will determine the predominant dosha(s) in your constitution, as imbalances in these doshas are believed to be the root cause of health issues.
3. Treatment Recommendations: Based on the consultation and dosha assessment, the practitioner recommends specific therapies, herbal preparations, dietary adjustments, and lifestyle changes to restore balance and address the person's concerns.
4. Abhyanga (In Person Ayurvedic Massage add on): Abhyanga usually forms a key part of Ayurvedic therapy sessions. It involves a full-body warm oil massage using medicated herbal oils chosen according to the person's dosha. Abhyanga helps relax the muscles, detoxify the body, improve circulation, and promote overall well-being.
5. Shirodhara, In Person (add on): This therapy involves gently pouring a continuous stream of warm oil over the forehead (third eye area), promoting deep relaxation, calming the mind, and pacifying Vata dosha. It is often recommended in cases of stress, anxiety, and insomnia.
6. Panchakarma: For individuals seeking a more intensive Ayurvedic detoxification and rejuvenation program, Panchakarma may be recommended. Panchakarma consists of a series of therapeutic treatments customized to the individual's needs and can include oil massages, herbal enemas, nasal administration of oils, and specialized dietary plans.
7. Follow-up Recommendations: At the end of the session, I will provide recommendations for maintaining balance and promoting well-being. These may include dietary suggestions, lifestyle modifications, herbal supplements, yoga or meditation practices, and self-care routines.
It's important to note that Ayurvedic therapy sessions are highly individualized, as they take into account an individual's unique constitution, imbalances, and specific health concerns. Working with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner is crucial to receive personalized guidance and optimal benefits.
